Personal & Family Budgeting Seminars

Our most popular seminar to date with over 5,000 attendees in the past 3 years.

A FREE 60-minute seminar where you will learn how to implement a successful personal budget, reduce personal debt, reach financial goals, control credit cards and save money on transaction fees. You’ll also receive an easy-to-understand workbook to take home, practice what you have learned in the seminar and put your new budget intoaction!

Budgeting is not about restricting fun in life – it is about putting fun back in your life by getting your financial life back on track and enabling you to save money for all the fun things you and your family want to do.

Queenslanders began to conduct budgeting seminars following some disturbing research into Australian household budgets. The Research showed that less than 5% of Australian households budget effectively; another 20% make an attempt but are unsuccessful, the balance of approximately 75% make no attempt to budget at all.

Queenslanders has now been successfully conducting Personal & Family Budgeting Seminars for State Public Sector employees, Centrelink, City Councils, private sector enterprises and their families and friends the past two years. 5,000 people have attended one of the almost 500 seminars conducted during that time. The feedback from the attendees at our seminars has been overwhelming. Some of the feedback we have received from attendees:

  • The seminars are comprehensive and take the fear and mystery out of budgeting.
  • The format of the seminars is easy to understand and follow.
  • Attendees feel confident that they can finally budget effectively for the first time in their lives.
  • The free personal budgeting workbook makes calculation and tracking of budgets very easy.
  • Attendees were surprised that the seminars were not simply a guise for selling Queenslanders Credit Union products.

Kid’s Budgeting Seminar

This seminar is specifically tailored for kids to help them with their own budgets and to save money for the fun things they want to buy and their own financial goals. They will be taken through a Kid’s Budgeting Worksheet and given the skills to enable them to organise their finances so they can buy what they want when they want; do all the fun things their friends are doing and not have to rely on parents for money.

Pre-Retirement Seminar

Australians can except to be retired for a long time, often up to 30 years, that’s nearly as long as a person’s working career. Most Australians have worked hard all their lives to build up a healthy retirement nest-egg but putting plans in place to make that money last for their retirement can be daunting and very frightening task.

So where do you go for advice to ensure your superannuation and investments are secure and also work hard for you and fund your retirement years?

Our FREE “Pre-Retirement Seminar” is aimed at people nearing retirement – 50 to 60 years of age – although many younger people are now attending, realising the benefits of planning their retirement earlier in life. The number of attendees at these seminars is kept to a minimum so that the subjects discussed can be individualised to the audience on the night. This format also creates a relaxed atmosphere where you have an opportunity to talk one on one with a qualified Financial Planner.

These seminars are obligation free, in fact, we persuade people who are already dealing with a financial planner to take this opportunity to get a FREE second opinion to test the advice you have already been given and compare investment strategies.

If you haven’t yet embarked on your retirement planning, this seminar will definitely steer you in the right direction.

Third party property is not part of your registration costs. Your car may only be worth $3,000 but what would do you do if you damage a vehicle worth $10,000 or more?
