Members are being warned of a scam email informing you that Visa has implemented a ‘Fraud Protection Program’.
The email goes on to say, "charges will be appearing on your Credit Card statement and we need your authorisation to allow such charges to be processed". It also asks you to download and complete a ‘VbV’ or ‘Verified by Visa’ form to avoid your service being suspended and sent to the fraud department for further investigation.
If you receive this email or emails of a similar nature, do not open the attachment and immediately report it to Queenslanders by phoning 1800 177 278.
