Description:

Queenslanders Credit Union launched a book celebrating its history at the 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Brisbane last week.

The AGM was a packed event with guests including members, current and former staff, and the two remaining board members who founded the Credit Union in 1963.

After the official business was over, some guests took the opportunity to share memories about the early days and tribute was paid to Leo Barcham, who is regarded as the founding father of Queenslanders.

Guests also partied on into the night with drinks, canapés, a celebration cake, storytelling and lots of laughs.

The book is a collection of photos and stories from over a dozen people and is the result of hours of interviews and research of old board minutes, newsletters and annual reports.

50 Years: Our Story So Far can be viewed online and while stocks last can be collected in branch or ordered on 1800 QLDERS or [email protected].
