After many months of deliberation the Credit Union’s Board and management have decided on a two-pronged approach to the issue of transactional services pricing.
From 1 September, members will have the choice of participating in a loyalty-based rebate program or the option to change to a basic account covered by a “flat fee”.

Some employees might get sacked for spending all day on Facebook and Twitter but for Queenslanders Credit Union’s Russell Allert it’s just part of a hard day’s work.
As Queenslanders’ first Social Media Coordinator, Russell is driving a new Queenslanders’ initiative to connect with the community via the hugely popular social media forums.
In the time since he has been in the new job, Queenslanders has more than doubled their number of Facebook ‘likes’ – a ‘like’ being just about the biggest compliment you can get on Facebook – and has substantially increased followers on Twitter.
Russell said Queenslanders had always prided itself on being an active part of the community and was simply continuing this spirit online.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has announced that it is conducting an investigation into a data compromise of some merchants, following financial institutions informing the AFP of suspicious transactions.
