Define the Difference
Do you know the difference between a credit union and a bank? Know your way around a video camera? Want to win $1000?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions (and who wouldn’t want to win $1000?) then we invite you to enter our Define the Difference competition!
Maybe you think credit unions are only for teachers or cops. Perhaps you think we are the people who chase you when you are behind in your bills? Or the reason you got a public holiday on May Day (we aren’t by the way)?
Your challenge is to tell us, in your own words, how a credit union is different to a bank.
Don’t be shy if you don’t know much about what the difference is, lots of people don’t (after all, that’s why we‘re running this promo). To get you started, we’ve included some links and sample videos that will help you get the picture pretty quickly.
Keep in mind though, we don’t want you to recreate the samples – it’s about telling us how YOU define the difference.
Simply create a short video defining the difference between a credit union and a bank and follow the steps below and you’ll be in the running to win $1000! It’s that easy.
Need some help with ideas? Don’t know much about credit unions? Click here.
Sing us a song, bake us a cake, dress up your dog – do whatever you want to do to define the difference between a credit union and a bank. Keep it short and sweet, though – we’re looking for 2 minutes or less. To kick things off, the team here at Queenslanders put together an example – click here.
In order to upload your video, you’ll need to create a YouTube account if you don’t already have one. When uploading, ensure that your video is public and that it adheres to the Youtube Terms of Service.
Once you’ve uploaded your video, log onto Facebook and visit the Queenslanders Credit Union page. You’ll need to ‘like’ our page to be able to post anything (as if you wouldn’t like us, though, right?). Copy the link to your video from the address bar on YouTube and paste to share it on our Facebook wall.
To be in the running for the $1000, you’ll need to have your video entry linked on our Facebook page by 11.59pm Friday 22 July. The team here at Queenslanders will choose the top 3 entries, which will be posted on the Queenslanders Facebook page for voting. Voting will open at 9am on Tuesday 26 July 2011 and close Friday 12 August. Whichever video has the most votes when voting closes scores the $1000!
By entering this competition you agree to abide by the Define the Difference Terms and Conditions as set by Queenslanders Credit Union. Competition entries must be received by 11.59pm Friday 22 July 2011.
