Email scam

We have received reports of an email claiming to be from Queenslanders Credit Union, advising that “Your profile information displays error”.

This is NOT a legitimate email from Queenslanders. Should you receive this, please delete it immediately and do not under any circumstances open the attachment as it will likely cause harm to your computer.

If you have already opened the attachment in error, you are strongly advised to take the following precautions: 

• Immediately run a virus and malware scan of your computer
• Change your online passwords for internet banking, email accounts, social media, etc. on a different device to the one the attachment was opened on
• Have your computer checked by a security specialist

Queenslanders may send you news and offers from time to time. However, we will never ask you to update, confirm or disclose your personal banking or credit card details via email or by telephone. Any contact of this nature is a hoax.
