Credit Union of the Year… again!
Queenslanders may just be the little financial institution that could, after they were today named Credit Union of the Year in the 2013 Mozo People’s Choice Awards.
This is the second time that Queenslanders has been named the country’s top credit union this year, after also being voted Credit Union of the Year in Your Mortgage Magazine’s Australian Home Loan Awards.
Queenslanders CEO John Weier said his team was particularly proud of the achievements given that they were competing against much bigger, national credit unions.
“The fact that our local Queensland based credit union took on the big guys and won is a real testament to the commitment our staff have to providing exceptional service,” he said.
“We offer all the usual banking products, with great rates and lots of features, but what really sets us apart is the promise we live by of providing banking that’s personal.”
“That’s what all credit unions should be about as our key difference from the banks is the fact that we don’t have shareholders, so any profits we make go back into improving the business and the customer experience.”
Mozo Managing Director Rohan Gamble said he congratulated Queenslanders for their outstanding performance in the awards.
“Queenslanders received exceptionally high scores for Customer Service and Trust, with customers praising its friendly and accessible service, low fees and great value products,” he said.
“These results really highlight the advantages of banking with a credit union that puts customers above profits.”
