Description of Promotion
Entrants who become a new member of Queenslanders Credit Union, or who successfully refer someone to become a new member of Queenslanders Credit Union, will be entered in a draw to win one (1) double pass to the first State of Origin game in Sydney on 5 June 2013. Trip includes return airfares, transfers, breakfast and accommodation and is provided by River 94.9.

Promotion Period
The Promotion commences at 9:00am (AEST) on Monday 8 April 2013 and closes at 5.00pm (AEST) on Wednesday 15 May 2013.

Entries not received by the above dates or not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will not be eligible to enter.

How to Enter
Any person who becomes a member of Queenslanders Credit Union during the competition period will be automatically entered into the draw. Furthermore, any existing member who successfully refers a new member to the Credit Union will be entered into the draw. The new member has to mention the name of the referrer for the referrer to be entered into the draw.

At the conclusion of the competition period, one entrant will be selected at random and they will be the winner of the prize. The winner will be required to accept these terms and conditions prior to accepting their prize.

Eligibility
Entries must be received by the closing times (see above).

Entrants must:

  • Be individuals and 18 years of age and over; and
  • Reside in Australia; and
  • Have become a new member of Queenslanders Credit Union, or successfully referred a new member to the Credit Union during the competition period.

Persons not eligible to enter are:

  • Directors, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter; and
  • The agencies associated with this promotion.

Maximum Number of Entries
One entry per new membership. Unlimited entries for successful new membership referrals.

Prize and Notification of Winner
One (1) prize will be awarded to the winning entry. Total value of the prize is $2,200.

The prize is provided in conjunction with River 94.9 Radio and includes the following:

  • Two return airfares from Brisbane to Sydney with QANTAS;
  • Two Gold tickets to the game at ANZ Stadium;
  • Twin share accommodation at Sheraton on the Park (including breakfast);
  • Return transfers from the airport to the hotel and then to the game; and
  • Pre-game cocktails with the River 94.9 team.

With the exception of the above inclusions, any other costs incurred during the trip to Sydney will be the responsibility of the winner.

If the winner is unable to be contacted, or unable to use the prize or transfer it to a person of their choosing, Queenslanders Credit Union reserves the right to redraw the prize and reallocate it to another entrant who qualified for the prize as detailed above.

The Winner consents to the use of their name, suburb of residence and image, likeness and voice for promotional and marketing purposes and agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities as the Promoter requests.

The Winner will be notified by telephone.

The Winner will be notified between 5.00pm (AEST) on Wednesday 15 May 2023 and 5.00pm (AEST) on Thursday 16 May 2013. The results will also be published at www.queenslanders.com.au and www.facebook.com/QueenslandersCU.

The Prize is not exchangeable for any other goods or services and cannot be redeemed for cash. The winner may, however, transfer the prize to another person of their choosing should they be unable to use the prize.

The Winner may be liable to declare his/her prize for taxation purposes and is responsible for payment of tax, if any. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought.

The Promoter may require the Winner to provide identification as requested by the Promoter including (without limitation) proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.

Prize Claim Date and Time
The Winner’s Prize must be claimed by 9.00am on Friday 17 May 2013. If the Winner does not respond to the email or phone call notifying them of their win by this time they forfeit their prize and the Promoter reserves the right to award the relevant prize to another Entrant.

Prize Delivery
The Promoter will not be liable for any delays, cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances relating to any aspect of the prize that is outside their control.

Liability Limitation
The Promoter is not liable for:

  • Any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by website users or any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilised in, the delivery and administration of this promotion;
  • Problems associated with communications networks or services, the internet, or computer or telephone networks or line and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise;
  • Any error, omission, defect, interruption, deletion, delays in transmission or operation communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries;
  • Any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement to supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or 
  • Any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.

Privacy
The Promoter collects the personal information of Entrants to administer and promote this competition and its winner. The Promoter will hold and use the personal information of the shortlisted contestants and finalists in accordance with its privacy policy, which is available at www.queenslanders.com.au.
