Queenslanders Credit Union CEO John Weier said he encouraged anyone who may be in the Brisbane CBD from 13-15 March to join in the celebrations.
“I would certainly welcome everyone to check our Facebook page for clues and join in the hunt for medals.
“We will be hiding three medals a day over three days, so there are plenty of opportunities to win.”
To claim victory in the Australian Home Loan Awards, Queenslanders beat over 136 different lenders.
They were named Credit Union of the Year, and in the prestigious Best Overall Loan Features category, defeated the big banks and proved that small lenders can offer homebuyers unrivalled value and service.
Mr Weier said his team was absolutely thrilled to win nine awards.
“As a boutique lender we have a real focus on providing quality products and the highest level of service,” he said.
“These awards demonstrate that small, local credit unions can take on the big banks and win.
“There are a lot of really good credit unions out there, all offering competitive products and a great service, so the sheer volume of our awards is testament to the commitment and hard work of our team.
“It certainly shows that being big is not always better as we are able to deal with our customers on a much more personal level.
Organised by Your Mortgage Magazine, The Australian Home Loan Awards is the biggest consumer voted awards for home loans in Australia.
