Are you MAD enough?
Update 19/10/15: MAD Day was a roaring success, raising $4,065.80 to help people in developing countries lift themselves out of extreme poverty. Thank you to everyone who visited a branch and supported one of our fundraisers!
Drop into your local Queenslanders branch this Friday and you might notice things have gone a little… MAD!
We’ll be celebrating International Credit Union Day by once again supporting development agency CUFA with their annual MAD (Make A Difference) Day initiative.
The team at Booval are rocking a Mad Hatters theme and inviting members of the public to come and join them for a game of croquet, pin the tail on the rabbit, morning tea and more.
In Brisbane, the team are dressing up as cowboys and cowgirls and holding a cupcake sale.
Other branches are holding various activities, as well as selling raffle tickets to win a store gift card of your choice! The first prize is a $500 gift card, second prize is a $300 gift card and third prize is a $200 gift card.
Run in conjunction with Anti-Poverty Week, MAD Day aims to improve the lives of some of the poorest in the Asia Pacific region – our neighbours.
All funds raised will help poor communities (where people earn less than $2 a day) learn how to save and manage money.
